Advantages and disadvantages of tricone bits
1. Advantages of cone: the cone drill teeth alternately contact the bottom of the hole, the rock breaking torque is small, the contact area between the drill tooth and the bottom of the well is small, the specific pressure is high, and the crushing ability is strong; the total length of the working blade is large, so the wear is relatively reduced.
2. Disadvantages of roller cones: high cost, bearing damage leads to single-sided wear, longer welding time, sometimes the phenomenon of sticking the drill head; rotary drilling rigs rarely use the nozzle function, and the cuttings produced by human rock may have secondary crushing .
3.Cone structure: The cone bit is composed of more than 20 parts such as cutting structure bearing structure, locking element oil storage and sealing device nozzle device.

The 517 features aggressive chisel tungsten carbide inserts on the heel rows and inner rows. This design provides a fast drilling rate and added cutting structure durability in medium-to-medium hard formation. The HSN rubber O-ring provides adequate sealing for bearing durability.
637Hard Formation TCI Tricone Bits（tricone rock bit）:
The 637 bits can be used to drill hard and abrasive formation. Wear-resistant tungsten carbide inserts are used in the outer rows to prevent loss of bit gauge. Maximum numbers of hemispherical-shaped inserts are used in all rows to provide cutter durability and long life.
