First, the preservation of the drill pipe:
1: Be sure to clean up the internal water and do proper lubrication.
2. The outside of the drill pipe, including the threads, of course, is best wiped clean. At the same time, the male and female joints are coated with grease, and the rubber cover is added. Rubber covers are small and cheap, but they can further protect the drill pipe.
Then, it's the saver of the DTH hammer:
1. Short-term storage:
First, remove the water inside and outside the DTH hammer;
Second, add 1 liter of shank oil from the upper joint part;
Third, open the wind for about 10 seconds, so that the internal parts can be fully lubricated;
Fourth, cover the upper joint and the lower joint with rubber covers respectively;
Fifth, place it horizontally in a dry environment.
Sixth, if it is stored for a long time, disassemble the DTH hammer and properly lubricate all parts, assemble it and go to the fourth and fifth steps.
2. Re-enable
First, disassemble the DTH hammer and check all parts, if any faults are found, they should be repaired or replaced in time. If it is directly put into use without testing, it is likely to shorten the service life.
Second, clean the parts, clean them up and lubricate them properly.
Third, it can be put into use after the assembly is completed and confirmed to be correct.
Many people may think that it is not just the DTH hammer. The conditions in the mine are limited, so I usually put it casually, and I still use it. However, for projects with similar conditions, why are the profits so different? A large part of the reason may be the management of equipment and drilling consumables. Careful management and maintenance can definitely save a lot of costs. Record the wear and tear of drilling tools, for example, a hammer has been used for several months, compare and make adjustments, save the drilling tools as recommended, and carry out reasonable maintenance and lubrication in strict accordance with the requirements.
