Precautions for the use of drill bits

When in use, the Gaea drill manufacturer recommends that the drill should be installed in the spring chuck of the spindle or the library for automatic drill replacement after taking it out of the packaging box, and put it back in the packaging box immediately after use.
The CNC drilling machine uses the positioning ring. Some CNC drilling machines do not use the positioning ring. For example, if the positioning ring is used, the depth positioning of the drill bit during installation should be accurate. The spindle drilling machine should pay more attention to this point, so that the drilling depth of each spindle should be consistent. If it is inconsistent, it may cause the drill bit to drill to the table or not be able to drill through the circuit board, resulting in scrap
Always check the concentricity of the spindle and the collet and the clamping force of the collet. Poor concentricity will cause small-diameter drills to break and large hole diameters. The speed does not match, and the chuck and the drill slip
The setting of drill bit parameters In general, the manufacturer provides a parameter table of the rotation speed and lower speed of the drill bit produced by the factory. This parameter is only for reference. The speed and lower speed parameters of the drill bit, usually the actual parameters are different from the reference parameters, but the difference is not too much.
Gaea drill bit manufacturers say that regrinding the drill bit in a timely manner can increase the use and regrinding times of the drill bit, prolong the life of the drill bit, and reduce production costs and expenses. Usually measured with a tool microscope, the wear depth should be less than 0.2mm within the full length of the two main cutting edges. When regrinding, 0.25mm should be removed. Ordinary fixed shank bits can be reground 3 times, and shovel-shaped bits can be reground 2 times. If the grinding is too much, the drilling quality and accuracy will decrease, which will cause the scrap of the finished circuit board. Excessive grinding is counter productive
