Precautions for loading, unloading and storage of drill pipe in underground mining

When loading and unloading underground mining drill pipe, the following should be observed
1. Before unloading the underground mining drill pipe, make sure that the protective wire is tightened as it is.
2. It is necessary to avoid rough loading and unloading, because it is possible to drop the underground mining drill pipe out of the pit.
3. Do not drop the drill pipe when unloading the underground mining drill pipe, and do not let the end of the drill pipe collide, because even if there is a protective wire, the thread may be damaged.
4. The unloaded underground mining drill pipes must be neatly stacked together.
When storing drill pipes for underground mining, the following regulations should be observed
1. It is not allowed to stack underground mining drill pipes directly on the ground, rails, steel plates or concrete surfaces. The first layer of drill pipe must be more than 30 cm from the ground to prevent moisture and soil corrosion.
2. The drill pipe for underground mining should be stored on the pipe rack, and the pipe rack should have enough piers to prevent the drill pipe from bending and damaging the thread. The piers should be on the same plane and level, and the pier feet should be firm to prevent sinking.
3. There should be isolation skids between the drill pipes for each layer of underground mining, and do not allow the drill pipe joints to bear the weight of the drill pipe. There must be at least three isolation skids for each layer of drill pipe.
4. The isolation skid should be at right angles to the underground mining drill pipe, and be located directly above the bottom skid to ensure that the drill pipe does not bend.
5. The length difference of each layer of underground mining drill pipe should not exceed the length of the joint or coupling.
6. The two sides of each layer of underground mining drill pipe should be clamped with 2.5×5.0cm or 5.0×5.0cm plugs at the two ends of the dunnage.
7. The water eye of the drill pipe and the male and female thread buttons must be washed with clean water, coated with anti-rust oil, and worn with a protective wire.
8. During storage, remove the rubber hoop on the underground mining drill pipe, otherwise, it will cause annular corrosion grooves on the drill pipe body.
9. In order to corrode the drill pipe in underground mining, during the storage period, the drill pipe should be inspected with the naked eye regularly, and the surface and inner wall of the drill pipe should be anti-corrosion.
The bent underground mining drill pipe must be straightened before it can be used
The straightened underground mining drill pipe requires the axis of the pipe body to coincide with the center line of the joint thread. At present, there are three methods of straightening drill pipe for underground mining, namely pressure straightening, tension straightening and rotational straightening. All these straightening methods require plastic deformation of the drill pipe. The straightened underground mining drill pipe is more susceptible to bending at the straightened part than before.
